An ideal day

For me, few things could comprise a more ideal day than to enjoy skiing great powder with a great friend. We got close to 2 ft. in the mtns thursday night and Krista and I had a fabulous day testing it out on friday at PCMR. I love skiing with Krista at Park City b/c she knows the perfect spots to go and due to the demographics that PC attracts, few skiiers are up on the top third of the mountain, where all the good stuff lies. I would take about 8 turns and literally have to stop for a breather b/c my quads were burning, like, on fire. But it felt so good, I just can't think of a better way to enjoy myself while getting a crazy workout all the while. Skiing, wall-sits, skiing, wall-sits. I choose skiing. On our last run my muscles were truly shaking from the burn and I hit a powder-caked mogul that I so didn't see coming...I totally faceplanted. It was awesome. Face first, I think I felt my head literally bounce off the ground and my neck was just the spring to keep it attached. It was so funny cause it just happened out of nowhere and it's not like we were on a steep or anything, I think it was toward the base of the mountain. Either way, I woke up today with horrifying whiplash neck, so stiff and sore. Though nothing a little ibu couldn't help. Looking to ski as much as possible this winter so if any local momma's wanna trade with babysitting let me know. Thanks again Krista for a fabulous day! Lunch was great too.

Chilling here in Spain but of course found time to check your blog. Do you have a twin sister we never knew about?!! It took a minute for us to tell which one was you and which one was Krista! Happy Christmas!

That photo is so hilarious! I love the one-eyed closed. Notice the mouth frozen! I had such a great day with you. Hopefully you're working on your wallsits so we can do more than four runs next time! Love ya.

I'm glad to hear that you're enjoying the Utah powder. Isn't it wonderful? John fractured a couple vertebrae at Snowbird yesterday, so it might be a few weeks till we're back up. :(

krista-is that weird everyone thinks we look alike? I take it as a compliment. But then again, ski gear masks everything, we musn't forget when the lifty called my sister in law "pal" - I'll leave specific names unidentified. ha ha

I think it's the position of our half-frozen smiles that makes us look so much alike! Great compliment.
